What are the elements of an environment suitable for technology development?

1993 yılında ETH Zürich Elektrik Mühendisliği Fakültesi’nden mezun olmasının ardından, MIT’de araştırma ve Polytechnic Institue of New York Üniversitesi’nde Elektrofizik ve Teknoloji MBA konularında Yüksek Lisans dereceleri alarak mezun oldu. 1998-2005 yıllarında Lucent Technologies Bell Laboratories’de Fiberoptik Ağ Sistemleri Grubunda Ar-Ge mühendisi, yönetici ve uzman eğitimci olarak görev aldı. Bu süre zarfında dünyada birçok telekom şirketinin değişik kıtalardaki fiberoptik ağ altyapılarının hayata geçmesinde değişik görevler üstlendi. 2006 senesinden bu yana Arkan & Ergin Kurumsal Finansman bünyesinde Türkiye’de girişimcilik eko sisteminin geliştirilmesi ve teknoloji transferi ortamının yaratılması üzerine danışmanlık vermektedir.
After graduating from ETH Zürich with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1993, Mr. Taskent joined MIT for research and Polytechnic Institute of New York University for the Electrophysics and Technology MBA degreees. During 1998-2005, he worked as a R&D engineer, expert consultant and instructor at Lucent Technologies Bell Laboratories. During that timeframe he lead major fiberoptic transmission system deployments. Since 2006, as Partner of Arkan & Ergin Corporate Finance, he has been working development of Turkish startup ecosystem and the technology transfer environment.
